9-Step Checklist to go from "Overwhelm" to "Bestselling Book on Amazon"

LEVEL 1: Writing Your Great Book

1. Define All Goals (Author Goals & Reader Goals)

Author Goals:
There's no point in going to the trouble writing a book if you don't know how the book will fit into your business, your marketing, and your legacy plans.

There's a magic around books -- like no other medium! -- so make sure you have thought through all the ways you will leverage your 'bestselling author' status and book.

Examples:
• raise your prices • more media attention (TV, radio, magazine)
• more speaking gigs • bigger impact and legacy
• more podcast interviews • increased confidence
• new brand awareness, leads, and sales (i.e. profit)

Reader Goals:
I don't believe in putting out self-agrandizing content (aka like a 'bro-douche marketer' ;)) that doesn't bring the market any value. So, it's worth making sure that what you put inside your book will truly help your reader, your audience.

And the good news about this step? Do it well, and your book will naturally turn into more leads and paying clients!

2. Plan the Book's Structure

Make sure your book follows a logical presentation of information to deliver on your author goals (enticing more clients) and reader goals (learning something valuable from you to solve their problem).

Think about how many chapters you want and what will go in each chapter to introduce the audience to that chapter's content, teach them 'the goods,' give them ways to apply it, and be ready for the next chapter!
